On April 23, 2022, Jerry Dan Scott passed away peacefully at home with family due to complications from Lewy Body Dementia. He was 85 years old.
Jerry was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Cecil and Ruby (Reynolds) Scott, and grew up in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Jerry was a Navy Reserve veteran, and he worked for 35 years as a mechanic for Kraft-General Foods in Modesto, California.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Ruby (Reynolds) Scott. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sue Scott, their sons Cris (Linda) Scott, Craig (Maria) Scott, Kip (Melissa) Scott, Troy (Lindy) Scott, and his brother Barry (Kay) Scott. Additionally, he is survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jerry’s family is forever grateful for the wonderful care he received by his doctors, nurses, and health care professionals during his illness.
Interment and memorial services are pending. Family members will notify loved ones in the future when services are scheduled.
