Jerry was born November of 1943 in Danbury, Iowa to Neil and Florence (Bock) DeGraff. Jerry came to Turlock at a young age and graduated from Turlock Adult School. He enlisted in the California National Guard in 1963 till 1969. Jerry worked for Garton Tractor for 50 years.
Jerry belonged to St. Francis Episcopal Church, where he enjoyed leading the church youth groups and in recent years, he served as an usher at Grace Anglican Church of Turlock. He was both a Boy Scout and Cub Scout leader and enjoyed backpacking with the Scouts. He was a member of Turlock American Legion Post 88, S.I.R. (Sons in Retirement), and in his younger years the Untouchables Car Club. Jerry also enjoyed trips to the lake, boating, fishing, golfing, gardening, and a glass of wine with a good cigar.
Jerry is survived by his wife Lynda DeGraff; son Jay (Melinda) DeGraff; son Jeffrey (Cindy) DeGraff; daughter Sherri (Robert) Todd; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild with one on the way. He is also survived by his siblings Don (Joann) DeGraff and Richard (Arlene) DeGraff. He is preceded in death by his brother Clarence DeGraff.
A Memorial will be held Monday, January 8, 2024, 10:am at Allen Mortuary. A Military service will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2024, 10am at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery.
