JoAnn (Joan) Marie Rico December 21, 1934 - September 20, 2018

JoAnn (Joan) Marie Rico

Dec. 1934 -Sept. 2018

JoAnn Marie Rico, beloved aunt, was born in Stockton, CA to Otto and Elsie Wiseman in the winter of 1934.  Fun-loving and social, JoAnn could also be very determined and private.  At the age of 18, JoAnn married the love of her life Joe Rico in Nevada and they were married for 48 years.   She was an avid bowler and who bowled on many leagues.  She loved traveling and a special trip JoAnn looked forward to was the yearly trip to Pinecrest with all the family.  Camping with their group of friends and traveling to many KOA campgrounds was full of fun times, which included playing cards and cribbage.  What she cherished most was time with family at family gatherings in Gustine.  As a Christian, JoAnn’s faith was very important to her and she now is in the Lord’s loving arms.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband and parents. She is survived by devoted nieces Margaret Brazil and Joann Freitas and many other nieces and nephews.

We will begin with visitation Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at Allen Mortuary from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. The Funeral Service will follow at 10 a.m. JoAnn will be laid to rest in Turlock Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in JoAnn’s name to Covenant Care Hospice, 125 N. Broadway, Suite 1B, Turlock, CA 95380 or the American Cancer Society Stanislaus County 1101 Sylvan Ave. Suite C105, Modesto, CA 95350.
