Joaquin Cortina passed away at the age of 46 after fighting a long and hard battle of complications due to Covid. He was born in San Jose and settled in Modesto in 1998 where he was currently employed at Sun-Opta.
He was a loving, compassionate, and hardworking man. He loved spending time with his wife, kids and family. He always took pictures and videos of every family gathering and wanted to keep making as many memories as possible. He was the definition of a family man.
Joaquin is survived by his loving wife Brandy; four children, Athena, Epitacio, Desiree, and Reina Cortina; and a grandchild on the way; siblings Angie Rios, Epitacio Cortina, Jimmy Cortina, Peter Cortina, Jose Prieto, Esmeralda Wilson, and Hortencia. He is also survived by his father Santiago and mother Angelita. He was preceded in death by his oldest son Joaquin Jr. Cortina and brother Juan Prieto.
Funeral Services will be held at 4pm on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Allen Mortuary located at 247 N. Broadway in Turlock with visitation until 6pm.
