October 1939 ~ December 2020
John Engel was born in Turlock, California to John and Ruth (Lane) Engel in October of 1939. He graduated from Livingston High School in 1958. He farmed since the age 3 and was known as “Farmer John”. John was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
John is survived by his loving wife Quilla (Kniffen) Engel; daughter Julie Genereux; sister Audie Dahlgren; brother Pete Engel; three grandchildren John Lewis, Valerie Genereux, and Nicholas Genereux; and his grandchild Ian born September 3, 2020.
A Celebration of life is pending for a later date.
