John F. Cunningham Jr of Delhi, CA has passed away at the age of 35. He was born in Turlock, California to John Cunningham and Susan Fierro-Fink, and has lived in the area his whole life. Throughout his childhood, he played baseball, basketball, football and enjoyed being outdoors. He worked for the City of Modesto for four years and worked in security before that.
John enjoyed watching the Raiders, camping at Pinecrest, playing basketball with his friends, and spending time with his family. One of his greatest passions was spending time with his children. In the few years that he had with them, John enjoyed taking them to the park, swimming, going to Santa Cruz along with many other adventures, his children will cherish those memories of him forever. His giant childlike heart was always a blast to be around. He had a great ability to make others smile and his sense of humor will be missed.
John was a father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many. He will be missed deeply by all who loved him.
John is survived by his children John F. Cunningham and Jade Cunningham, sister Amber Topete, brother in law Jaime Topete, sister Jamie Gaines, brother in law Alan Gaines, his aunts and uncles Kelly Cunningham Mendoza (Eddie), Cindy Byam Browning (Jeff), Sandy Kinerson, and Sherry Waterson (Lonny), and many cousins.
John was preceded in death by his parents John F. Cunningham and Susan Fierro-Fink, his grandparents Dolores Cunningham Byam and John “Jack” Cunningham, and Grandma Shirley Hill.
Services will be held for John at10:00am on Friday, May 10 at Allen Mortuary, 247 N. Broadway in Turlock.
