John Francis Cunningham, 59 of Delhi, passed away on January 30th in Modesto. He was born on September 1, 1964 to John and Dolores Cunningham.
In his early career he drove semi-trucks and worked for City Tow. In July of 1998, at the age of 33, John was blessed with a heart transplant that gave his family 26 more precious years with him. John lived his life to the fullest. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy.
John enjoyed NASCAR, the Raiders, camping at Pinecrest, Santa Cruz, his dogs Keesha and Bosco and spending time with his family. He loved to watch his children and grandchildren play sports and never missed a game. His love for animals made for many fun trips to the auction and an array of farm animals he cared for. His adventurous nature made him the uncle that all his nieces and nephews loved to hang out with.
John was a fun and loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He would go above and beyond for the people he loved. His love for life and others will not be forgotten. He will be missed deeply by all who loved him.
John was a very easy going and big-hearted guy.
John is survived by his children, Amber Topete of Turlock, CA, and John Cunningham Jr, of Delhi, CA, his siblings, Kelly Mendoza of Turlock, CA, and Cindy Byam Browning of Turlockm, CA. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 15 from 4pm to 7pm at Allen Mortuary. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday, February 16, at Turlock Cemetery. Following the graveside, there will be a celebration of life at the Turlock VFW Hall.
