Johnny Walter Davis December 5, 2008 - July 24, 2018

Johnny Walter Davis

December 2008 – July 2018

Johnny Walter Davis, a loving and amazing child, passed away after a tragic accident on July 24, 2018 and is now in the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Johnny, 9 years old, was born in Modesto, CA in the winter of 2008 to Christopher and Justine Davis. He was deeply loved and adored from the day he was born, and the most incredible big brother to his siblings Evelyn, Ezra, and Jolene. Johnny was home schooled by his mom, and he loved playing soccer, basketball, and participating in his local Cub Scout troop. His parents proudly describe Johnny as an “old soul” with a deep and abiding love for the Lord, who enjoyed listening to country greats, such as Johnny Cash and Hank Williams Jr.

Johnny Davis was the kind of kid that everyone fell in love with. He will be terribly missed and always remembered by relatives, many friends, and his church family at Community Baptist Church, where he was baptized this past Easter.

Family members who look forward to seeing Johnny in heaven include his parents, Christopher (Adam) and Justine; siblings, Evelyn, Ezra, and Jolene; and his grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

A viewing will be held at Community Baptist Church of Waterford (328 D. Street) on Saturday, August 4 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. A Reception will be held immediately after at CBC’s Yosemite Campus, located at 14143 Yosemite Boulevard””also in Waterford.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to assist the family at https://www.gofundme.com/Davisfamilyof6. Contributions may also be made to the Community Baptist Church Benevolence Fund.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family continually. Johnny was blessed to have been born to such wonderful parents and a beautiful, loving and sweet family. His life is a perfect example of pure love of family. His love of the outdoors and for others, his kind and giving nature is how I will always remember him. I will also remember his sweet smile, his loving and caring ways, his energy, and how friendly he was, but at the same time all boy and full of life. His relationship with his siblings was the sweetest ever and it breaks my heart that he is gone from this earth. But rejoicing that Johnny is with our Heavenly Father who created him and loved him first. My deepest condolences to the entire family. Love you all.

My prayers go out to the family. I remember when Johnny was born. It’s hard to believe it’s been that long ago and even harder to believe his life was cut short. But he is at peace in God’s hands. I always remember him and his sister were the sweetest kids when I lived across the street from them. Adam and Justine were always very loving and made everything about their children from what I could see and remember. Rest in peace.
