Jose Dolores Buenrostro June 16, 1940 - August 30, 2018

Jose Dolores Buenrostro

June 1940 ~ August 2018

Jose Dolores Buenrostro was born in San Martin Mexico in May of 1940.  He was the middle son of a large family of twelve brothers and sisters.  Our dad had to work hard since he was young because his father passed away when he was a child.

After courting our mother they fell in love and he decided to make his way to California to provide a better life for his wife.  Our dad was a cook and chef for twenty-five years at Pea Soup Anderson and cooking was one of his passions.  He took pleasure in the simple things in life, for example, working hard to provide for his wife and four son’s, spending time with his family and grandkids, finding simple excuses to cook and get the family together as much as possible. Our parents’ biggest joys are the grandkids, always making them laugh and smile with pride.

He also took joy in helping his brothers and sisters and family in Mexico.  Visiting with our relatives in Mexico always reminding us where we come from, our home town in San Martin, Jalisco.  He reminded us that the family and friends was the most important things in life. You depend on them and they can depend on you.

Simple things in life bought him joy.

****************************************
