Jose Ramon Velasco
September 1, 1938 – January 18, 2025
Ramon was born in Mexico to Catarino and Paula Velasco and passed away at the age of 86. He was a hard-working family man who dedicated his life to them. Ramon enjoyed family gatherings, was very smart and creative. His family will remember fondly all their camping trips together and the memories they shared. Ramon was proud of his 60 year marriage to the love of his life, Josefina.
He is survived by his wife Josefina Velasco; children Paula Ramirez, Octavio Velasco and Maricela Gamboa; son in law Juan Gamboa; daughter in law Linda Velasco; grandchildren Martin, Adrian, Bianca, Brianna, Kristian, Michael, Angel, Tatiana, Stefani, Jackie and Natalie; sister Consuelo Velasco and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Judith Velasco; siblings Rebecca and Jesus; and son in law Freddy Ramirez.
Viewing will be held at Allen Mortuary (247 N Broadway, Turlock CA 95380) on Monday, January 27, 2025 from 1:00-5:00p.m. with a rosary to begin at 5:00p.m. Mass will be at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church (7820 Fox Road, Hughson CA 95326) on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 10:00a.m. with interment to follow at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery (1141 Scenic Drive Modesto CA 95353). Reception will proceed at St Anthony’s Parish Hall until 4:30 PM.
