Joyce Smith of Modesto passed away at home on January 17, 2023. Joyce is survived by her longtime partner Robert Muse, daughters Lisa Schripsema and Cheryl Elwood (Fred), son Troy Smith (Cindy), granddaughter Alexandra Miller (Mason) and great granddaughter Emma. Joyce was preceded in death by daughter Danelle Smith Carper and grandson Tyler Schripsema. Joyce has many cousins, nieces and nephews that will miss her.
Joyce was a long-time resident of Modesto and made many friends in her 20+ year career at REMAX of Modesto until her retirement in 2008. She was also an active gardener and a member of Modesto Garden Club. She will be missed by her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Del Rio Country Club from 12:00-3:00 pm. If you’d like to share a story or spend time with Joyce’s family and friends, please join us.
