Kathy Elaine Flippins was born on February 8, 1963 in Ceres, CA to Diane (Ripley) and Sam Flippins. Kathy was a lifelong resident of Hilmar, CA, and joined her mother Diane in heaven on January 1, 2023 at the age of 59. She will be missed by her father, her brothers Samuel and David, her sons Nathan Flippins and Matthew Waterson, and her grandchildren Kyle and Brianna Waterson, Jocelynn Newton, and Austin and Angelina Flippins.
Kathy will be fondly remembered for her love of God, family and camping. At the time of her passing, Kathy was a member of the Hughson Church of Christ where she faithfully attended Bible class and Sunday worship for the last several years. She spent much of her adult life raising her sons to explore and care for the trails of the Sierra Nevada on horseback. Throughout her life she was a member of several horseman’s clubs. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and did her best to take care of those that would let her.
When asked, Kathy would say that she was most proud of her family.
A Graveside service will be held on Friday, January 13 at the North Hilmar Cemetery starting at 10:30am.
