Keri Gustafson was born April 7, 1974 to John and Phyllis Keller of Martinez. Keri went to heaven to be with the Lord on October 14, 2023. Keri grew up in Martinez and then went to college at Sonoma State University, which is where she met Derek, her husband of twenty-six years. Keri and Derek moved to Riverbank with their daughter Savannah in 2003 and would welcome daughter Madison the following year.
Keri worked for Connecting Waters Charter School for close to twenty years serving in several roles for the school. More importantly, she was amazing at working closely with the families under her guidance. She had such a delightful demeanor, that she built close relationships over the years, working with some families for several years. Keri touched many lives through her work over the years with her kindness, and dedication to her job.
Most importantly, Keri was an amazing wife and mother to her daughters, Savannah and Madison. Keri was involved in every aspect of her family’s life together. Keri was the glue that held everything together. Keri’s positive attitude, work ethic, and care for others could not be overstated. She was an amazing woman, who made the world a better place for all of those who knew her.
Keri was a faithful Christian woman, who after a great deal of study and consideration was baptized on June 25 of this year. Her family takes great comfort in the fact that she was at peace and ready to meet the Lord. Keri will be missed every single day.
Keri was preceded in death by her father in law Stan Gustafson and her father John Keller. Keri is survived by her mother Phyllis, mother in law Barbara Gustafson, her brother Michael, sister Kimberly (Tyson), sister in law Inger Risenhoover, several nieces and a nephew. Keri will be missed by daughters Savannah Beals (Jonah) and Madison, and her husband Derek.
Keri leaves behind a void that can never be filled and will be dearly missed by all those she knew.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Society for Disabilities.
An opportunity to visit with Keri’s family will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 5:00-7:00p.m.
Celebration of life service will be held at Allen Mortuary on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 10:00a.m.
