Linda Gail Champion
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Linda Gail Champion, aged 70, of Turlock, California, who left us on October 24, 2024. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be remembered for her generosity, compassion, warmth and humor.
Born on July 28th,1954 in Oakland, California, Linda was the daughter of David and Gwendolynn Armstrong. She grew up in Lafayette and moved to Turlock where she graduated from Turlock High School and Stanislaus State University earning a B.F.A. in Art History.
A gymnastics school manager by trade, Linda spent several decades involved in spreading her love and joy of gymnastics throughout her community. She helped create fantastic art displays at all gymnastics functions she was a part of. Also, an avid reader, she was known to go through several books a week.
Linda’s family was her greatest joy. She is survived by her husband Larry of 44 years, her two sons Larry and Logan as well as her four grandchildren Jillian, Alayna, Landon and Eliza. She is also survived by her brothers Jeffery, Danny and Jimmy and sisters Jean and Connie and numerous nephews and nieces.
The world will be a little dimmer without her light, but her spirit will continue to live on in all those she loved. Rest in peace, Linda – you will be missed and cherished forever.
