Linda Anderson of Merced, CA has passed away at the age of 75. Linda was born in Turlock, CA to (Aaron) “Joe” and Ruby Nix, who pastored Pentecostal Pathfinder’s Church. Linda was raised in Turlock, CA and graduated from Turlock High School. Linda raised her daughter Tanya. She worked many years as an administrative assistant for MedicAlert, and she also held various other positions over the years at other Turlock businesses, including Beno’s and Mission Linen.  She served a couple of years as secretary for Turlock Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Linda was  known as a person of strong faith and was well versed in scripture. She loved to  study the Bible, and to listen to Charles Stanley’s  messages. She was often seen reading devotionals and her many Bibles including her Charles Stanley Bibles and her Spirit Filled Life Bible.  Over the years she played bass guitar for  local gospel groups and she also played piano, acoustic guitar, and sang. She loved listening to gospel music. Some of her cherished vocalists include Michael English, Mark Lowry, Dottie Rambo, and The Happy Goodmans.   She also loved to read about and listen to Paul McCartney and The Beatles. Linda loved and raised many pets, including numerous dogs and due to this, lovingly earned the nickname “Ol’ Softie”.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents and also by her sister Betty Daylong. She is survived by her daughter Tanya Anderson, her sisters Alice Raymond and Myra DeMartini, her brother Richard Nix, and many nieces/nephews.
