July 16, 2020 at 7:36 amMom, I can’t believe my phone don’t ring after midnight, or even 2 a.m. in the morning no more. Your awake just wanting to talk until 5 or 6, & say many times you better let me go l need my rest because I have work in the morning. Then your onto another subject or back to the one you first talked about. You would go to sleep & I’d have to get ready for work. I’ve been going over memories from my childhood days, questions I never got to ask you & now I’ll have to wait for the answers again. The one that really puzzles me, was when we were little kids, coming home from church at Calvary Baptist on Laurel & Columbia. We always had a Chevy station wagon it had the 2 back seats but the back out didn’t face the front of the car it faced the back end of the car. But on the way home us kids would be fighting or arguing, you would tell us to stop. How did you get your high-heel off without taking your foot off the gas petal? You have great aim too, just by looking in the rear view mirror that high heel would hit the one causing the trouble. That was an awesome trick. Remember how you would buy that 8pak of Double Cola & put it in your coffee cup & tell us kids you was drinking coffee. That was a good too. Turlock Junior Band the boys in the band, us girls majorettes. And then you took on the job of making all the new Majorette tops for every majorette. How many did you make? Sue started her majorette group you made all their uniforms, why Momma did I have to have FIRE ENGINE RED? I hated that one. So glad when you made my silver one. You run all of kids up & down the state of California for parades. We had a blast, might have sun stroke but thanks okay, cause 4th of July we did 2 parades. Mom the best memories I loved making with you was with my grandchildren. Taking Mickila to the PowWows. You made her a little Cherokee style dress. She was so proud to dance in it, and you was just as proud to watch her dance in the dress you made for her. Curtie & Jordan coming to pick you up to go eat at Perkos & then to the movies. I think the best part you like was little Curtie knocking on your door walking you out to his dad’s truck that was lifted. You was so glad to see Curt had a step on it. Curt would climb up get your seat & fasten you in. But the best part was his grandma couldn’t start his dad’s truck. So I’d get out 4 year old Curtie would start it. Then climb into the backseat. Mom your eyes popped out of your head & your mouth was wide open. Curtie would tell you great grandma stay right there I’ll come & help you out. He’d be by your side the whole time. Jordan at the movies would just sing “Let it Go” well Mom I’m not ready to let you go. Then Lilah little Sissy came along, you thought she was something. She loved coming to Great great grandmas house, because you never knew what you was going to see. She loved your Indian dolls, Sissy & I picked you up to go to the movies too. I don’t know Mom if you liked the movies or if you loved watching your Great grandkids reactions at the movies. Who is Sissy going to prank call now? Do you have a number in Heaven we could call? Mom, I’m sorry that I didn’t make it to your viewing & I won’t be at your Graveside Service, Mom I can’t do. My heart is broken. We have had some very hard times but we’ve had more good times. I want more of them, that’s not possible now. Know that I love & miss you more than I ever thought possible. RIP my Mom. Until I see you again. I pray to the Great Spirit that he will let you come & visit me in a dream or a vision that I know you have made it to your new journey in Heaven
