Louie Donald Pombo, 75, passed away March 24, 2024 at home with his son, Stacy, by his side. Louie was born August 25, 1948 in Merced, California. He went to Livingston High School, working many different jobs until he started at TID, which he retired from after 28 years on the job as a heavy equipment operator.
Louie met Linda Thurman through a mutual friend, and it was love at first sight. They were married June 18, 1967, at the Bethel Temple Church. They renewed their vows before God and to each other on February 14, 2001.
Louie enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, 4-wheel drive pulls, racing, and helping all his friends with projects and just spending time with family and friends.
Louie is survived by his son Stacy (Tracy) Pombo, his granddaughters D’Nelle (Michael) Silveira, Kourtni Pombo, his great grandsons Liam Adams, Ryder Merrifield, Maverick Silveira, and his only great granddaughter Phoebe Silveira. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, brother in laws and sister in laws, his brothers John (Winnie) Pombo, Ernie (Emily) Pombo, and his sisters Mary Garcia, Jenny Armas, Lucy Penrod, and Pat Pombo-Carincross.
Louie is preceded in death by his wife Linda, son Shannon, his parents Manuel and Mary Pombo, his mother-in-law Luida Miller, grandson Robbie Merrifield, and his brothers Joe Pombo, Manuel Pombo, David Pombo, Fred Pombo, Tony Pombo, and Frank Pombo.
Louie was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be loved today, tomorrow, and always.
A viewing will be held at Allen Mortuary, Monday, April 1, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
A funeral will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Allen Mortuary starting at 10:00 am.
