Luis “Guicho” Julian Vega, beloved Papa, was born in Guatemala to Manuel and Jesus Vega in the winter of 1938 and grew up with his four siblings.
A man of many talents, Luis was a print shop owner for years, and he loved music, instruments and dancing. He enjoyed all types of music and music was always a part of his life. Watching soccer games was also a favorite pastime for Luis.
Luis was the type of man who never smoked or drank. He believed if he thought good, healing thoughts he could combat any health issues and he did so for many years.
Most of all Luis loved his family with all his heart and he will be missed very, very deeply.
Luis is survived by his wife Elma Lucrecia; daughters Silvia, Claudia and Ana Vega; siblings Gloria Lau, Francisco and Gilberto Vega; grandchildren Luis and Yesenia Barrera, Brian and Eriol Aquino and great grandchild Jadon Maldonado. Luis was preceded in death by his sister Juana Vega.
A Viewing will be held from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2018 at Allen Mortuary in Turlock. On Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 11 a.m. a Graveside Service will be held at Winton Cemetery, 7651 West Almond Avenue in Winton. Please share your memories on this website.
