July 13, 2021 at 7:26 pmMy Mom, Mae Graves, passed in the early hours of this morning. She loved receiving photos of her great-grandchildren, Lindsey Nicole and William Christopher. Mom was famous for the divinity she made at Christmas and her Ranchhouse Spaghetti. Born in Michigan, she and my namesake Julana Seeks, drove across the country in the 1950s ending up in California, pretty darning for 2 young cute gals. She painted and dabbled in arts and crafts, lol, we once made a buddha out of paper mache for my high school production of “South Pacific.” I don’t think there was a newspaper or book Mom hadn’t read! Mom was an avid draftsman, loving to draw and re-design houses. I’m certain that she is re-designing the pearly gates for St Peter as I type! Good luck dude! If she tells you to move the gate over a foot … just do it! She probably wants to move her rocker over for a better view.
