May 26, 1933 – November 21, 2021
Marian Elizabeth Foulks, born Marian Elizabeth Lamm on May 26, 1933 to Erma and Rhymer Revere Lamm, went to be with Lord on November 21, 2021. She is preceded in death by her daughter Cynthia Taylor. She is survived by her children Denise Bomar (Nathan), Ronald Wetzlich (Dori), Randy Wetzlich, Richard Gonsalves (Jeannie) and Dennis Clagg (Judy), 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one on the way, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Marian loved to play and watch sports especially baseball and her favorite team was the A’s. When she was younger, she played baseball for The Gustine Girls. As she grew older, she was part of a bowling league for many years and loved every minute of it. She loved working in her garden, spending time with friends and family, watching sports and game shows to keep her mind sharp. She also loved quilting and baking especially with her granddaughters. All these things brought her great joy.
Marian grew up in Stevenson, CA and always spoke fondly of the times she spent with uncles feeding lambs and spending time on their land. She would also speak of the fun times she had in High School with the Stevenson/Hilmar rivals. She graduated Hilmar High School in 1951 and always looked forward to the reunions. Especially because she would often win the trophy for most grandchildren. She was always beaming with pride and excitement after a reunion.
Marian loved the Lord and served him well. She attended church at Ceres Christian Church where she made deep friendships and participated in choir and bible studies. She loved to spend her time at church. She would write worship songs and scripture references everywhere she could in her spare time. Even when she was struggling, she could be seen raising her hands saying, “I just have to thank the Lord.”
Marian was loved deeply and will be missed by so many people. Her memory will live on in those she loved. Her favorite time was the holidays and getting to be surrounded by family, but this year she gets to be with the Lord.
Marian Elizabeth Foulks was a strong woman who loved the Lord and was dependent on him. She gave glory to and praised him until the end, and now she is worshipping him in heaven.
A loving mother, grandmother and friend. We will love her till the end.
Memorial services for Marian will be private.
He Only Takes the Best
A heart of gold stopped beating
Two shining eyes at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
God knows you had to leave us,
But you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day he took you home.
To some you are forgotten,
To others just part of the past,
But to us who loved and lost you,
The memory will always last.

November 30, 2021 at 4:38 amI will always remember going to the Bomar’s every weekend when I was younger. She was always there on the weekend too, to go to church. Always kind and treated me like part of the family. I enjoyed her company and will never forget her.
