October 1972 – February 2018

Lisa Baptista, 45, of Stevinson, CA, passed away February 27, 2018 at Stanford University Medical Center after a brave battle with lung cancer. She was born and raised in the Turlock area and graduated from Hilmar High School in 1991. Lisa married John “Randy” Baptista in 1992 and together they made their home in Stevinson, California. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, enjoyed Cross-fit, helping her son with FFA, and watching her daughter play volleyball.

Lisa is survived by her loving husband Randy Baptista, son Devin (Kelcie) Baptista, and daughter Emily Baptista. She also leaves behind her parents Frank and Louetta Perez, two brothers Frank (Kathy) Perez III and Matthew Perez, sister Danielle Perez, and many nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

Recitation of the Rosary will be held Monday, March 5, 2018, 7pm at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2018, 10am also at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hilmar with burial to follow at Turlock Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church, P.O. Box 429, Hilmar, CA 95324.

    I remember my grandparents waking us at 4 a.m. to go up north for 4th of july weekend, which happened pretty much our whole childhood..WE’D ALWAYS BE EXCITED TO HANG WITH OUR OLDER COOLER COUSINS…RIP Marlisa…tell my mom hi

    I met Lisa through CrossFit Turlock and enjoyed getting to know her there. She was always so positive, kind and thoughtful. I will truly miss seeing her sweet, encouraging smile! My deepest condolences to the family.

    This really sucks. Lisa and I have been texting buddies since Emily was in 7th grade and all through HS and even while Emily has been at Pacific, we would stay in contact!

    I met Marlisa many years ago when I worked in the Insurwnce office in Hilmar & our boys were in the same class. I didn’t know her that well, but remember her as a very kind person. My heart goes out to the entire family & will keep them in my prayers. She was so young and just starting the prime of her life. God has another angel at his side.
