Marquise D. Clark of Turlock, California, passed away at the age of 29 on January 13, 2025. Born on June 21, 1995, in Oakland, California, to Thomas Davis and Gail Clark, Marquise was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend who touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

Marquise grew up in Oakland, California, with his loving Aunt Betty Carson, and later in Turlock, California, with his brother Charles “CJ” and family. He played football and graduated with honors from Turlock High School. Known for his kindness, intelligence, athleticism, and gentleness, Marquise went on to work alongside his brother Charles “CJ” Davis, forging a deeper bond that extended beyond family ties.

Marquise had a passion for life, always eager to try new things and visit amusement parks. He cherished spending time with his niece, Aaliyah, whom he adored deeply. Marquise shared a special bond with his sister Aaronisha Carson, with whom he loved joking and creating unforgettable memories. His aunt Betty Carson, whom he lovingly referred to as “Mom,” held a particularly special place in his heart, and he loved her deeply.

A proud Oakland native at heart, Marquise never missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite team, the Oakland Raiders, attending games with his family and sharing in the excitement of every play.

Marquise is survived by his loving brother, Charles Davis; sister-in-law, Veronica Davis; his cherished nieces, Aaliyah Davis and Cherish Carson; his sisters, Aaronisha Carson and Betty E. Carson ; his Aunt Betty Carson “mom”; cousins Zelda; and many more countless cousins, extended family members, and friends. He is reunited in heaven with his parents, Thomas Davis and Gail Clark, nephew Sincere Carson, and his aunt Betty Carson “mom”  who passed earlier in his life.

A visitation to honor Marquise’s life will be held at Allen Mortuary on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. His funeral service will take place the following day, Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Hope Church of Turlock. Following the service, there will be a gathering for a meal and fellowship in the lower level of the church.

Marquise’s legacy is one of love, strength, and perseverance. Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made will endure in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
