Mary Aghassi August 5, 1939 - June 29, 2021

August 1939 ~ June 2021

Mary Aghassi, age 81 of Turlock, passed away on June 29, 2021 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House.  She was born August of 1939 in Iran to Youkhana and Helen (Daniels) Lellhame.  She married Andriyous Aghassi in 1954 and migrated to Turlock in 1972.  Andy and Mary opened Jura’s Pizza Parlor in 1979.  She belonged to St. Thomas Assyrian Chaldean Church and Mar Youkhanan.  Mary enjoyed going to church, sewing, knitting, and reading the Bible.

She is survived by her son Jura, daughters Nora, Flora, and Papiola,11 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband Andy Aghassi, son Walter Aghassi, two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2021, 11am at St. Thomas Assyrian Chaldean Church with burial to follow at Turlock Memorial Park.  Funeral services directed by Allen Mortuary.
