Matthew “Matt” Perez, 40, of Turlock, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 6, 2022.
Matt was born on March 16, 1982 to Frank and Louetta Perez. He was a life-long resident of the Hilmar/Turlock area.
He is survived by his father Frank Perez Jr.; his brother, Frank J. Perez III (Cathy); his sister, Danielle Perez; his brother-in-law, Randy Baptista; three nephews, Devin Baptista (Kelcie), Sam Perez (Sofia), and Max Perez; three nieces, Riley Layton (Adam), Casey Forshee (Tanner), and Emily Baptista; along with six great nieces, one great nephew, and many special family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother Louetta Perez; his sister Lisa Baptista; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Matt was always ready to have a good time. When he wasn’t welding, doing different farm jobs, or driving trucks, he could be found spending time with his family, riding four wheelers, or visiting his nieces and nephews in Missouri. He was a great friend, a hard worker, and he always knew how to make people laugh. If you weren’t already smiling, you knew you were about to be when he made his entrance. He loved his friends and family in a big way, and he will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
Graveside services will be held at Turlock Memorial Park on Wednesday, July 6, at 10:00am. Reception to follow.
