Age 63 of Hughson, CA passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 29, 2024.
He was born Sept. 7, 1960 to Bud and Marveen Sorensen.
Mike was born and raised in Turlock. As a young boy he loved fishing, camping and baseball. He also enjoyed watching sports. His favorite teams were the SF Giants, Warriors, SF 49ers & KC chiefs.
Mike was a wonderful dad, son, brother, husband, uncle and papa. He was the friend that would always be there if you needed him.
Mike managed United Facilities Inc. distribution center in Florida and transferred to Rancho Cucamonga. When he moved back to Turlock he went to work for Ag-Pro where he retired last year. He always needed to be busy and soon realized retirement wasn’t for him and began working for Myers Towing.
Mike will be missed by all who knew him. He will be watching over each of us, especially his son Kyle, as he was his number one fan.
Gone but never forgotten until we see you again. We love you.
Mike is survived by his spouse Rene Wilson of Hughson, his children Jasmine Youngdale of Maui, HI and Kyle Sorensen of Turlock, his step-children Ashley Frazier of Turlock, Katy Mayton (Matt) of Riverbank, Danielle Wilson of Riverbank, Mac Wilson of Ceres, and Lucas Wilson of Hughson, his parents Bud and Marveen Sorensen of Denair, his siblings Michelle (Mark) Rocha of Denair, Rhonda Sorensen of Denair, and Russell Sorensen (Cheryl) of Kelso, WA. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Markelle Rocha Warder (Brandon), Markus Rocha, Ryan Sorensen, Kayla Armstead (Roy), Kaden Warder, Raya Warder and step grandchildren Wyatt and Levi Mayton.
Mike is preceded in death by his nephew Christopher Sorensen and grandparents Ottis and Mary Bawcum, Jean Heuer and Soren Sorensen.
A funeral service will be held at 10am on Monday, July 15, 2024 at Allen Mortuary , 247 N. Broadway, in Turlock. Burial will follow at North Hilmar Cemetery.
