Michelle Rose Casey – daughter, mother, sister, teacher and friend – passed away unexpectedly on August 17, 2023. She was born on July 13, 1989 to parents Monica Rose Casey and John Douglas Casey in Turlock, CA.
Michelle was deeply loved by so many around her. She was a teacher and tennis coach at Ceres High School for six years, touching the lives of countless students and faculty. Her love of sports extended beyond tennis and she frequented baseball games (go Giants!) and football games (go 49ers!). She enjoyed the outdoors and loved having adventures with her two children. She had grit and determination, putting herself through college and earning her teaching credential as a single mother. She was perhaps best known for her dark sense of humor, love of black, and obsession with Star Wars (Team Darkside).
She is survived by her mother, Monica Rose Casey, her two children Wyatt Crouch, 14, and Elizabeth Miller, 2, her sister Emily Casey, brother David Casey, and the whole Casey clan who will miss her dearly. You can make a donation to support her children here: www.gofundme.com/michelle-rose-casey
Services will be held at Tuolumne River Lodge (2429 River Rd, Modesto, CA 95351) on August 25 from 4pm-6pm.
We love you forever, Michelle. May the Force Be With You.

August 27, 2023 at 6:59 amTo Michelle’s family – I send you so much love. Michelle was a great friend of mine all the way through my teenage years. She’s been to my house and hung out on my roof while my nephew played guitar, she has stuck up for me when I needed someone to, she made me laugh when I was angry… she really was an awesome person to be around. It’s been a long time since we connected – but this news hits home. I have a photo of us in our teenage years at senior sunset with a few of our friends. Toni, Tim, Ben, and Eric. Would love to give it to you if you’d like to have it.
Michelle – with tears I say goodbye to one of my childhood friends. I hoped we would reunite again – I’m sorry you were hurting. Won’t ever forget you girl. Ever. Rest peacefully my love. No more pain.
❤️ -Ki
