Michi Sakaguchi

Sept. 1935 ~ May 2020

Michi Sakaguchi of Turlock, peacefully passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020 at the age of 84 years old.

Michi was born in Merced to Yoshio and Masako Baba and grew up with her family in the Cortez Community.  She married Makoto “Mac” Sakaguchi and raised five children on their farm in Delhi, and later moved to Turlock.

In 1977 she began to work for Banquet Foods/Conagra, which is where she met many of her life long friends.  She had so many great memories of the times she shared with them.  She eventually retired from Conagra at the age of 63.

Michi was known for her smile and kindness to others, and was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching the Warriors, 49ers and San Francisco Giants.  She had a passion for animals, and was loved by the neighborhood pets when she greeted them through her walks around the block.

She is survived by her children Judy Ramos, Mike (Maria) Sakaguchi, Debbie (Tim) Fitch and Jodi Lee; siblings Franklin Baba and Nobie Huie; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Due to the current Covid-19 situation, a small private service was held.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Please share your memories at www.AllenMortuary.com
