Myron D. Koehn, 63, of Livingston, California passed away, Saturday March 18th, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family following a long battle with cancer.
Born July 24th, 1959 in Turlock, California to parents Gerald L. Koehn and Norma J. Koehn (Nichols), Myron was the youngest of the three siblings. He had two older sisters, Doreen L Schmidt (Koehn) and Shirley R. Schmidt (Koehn).
Myron, a retired almond farmer, enjoyed many facets of outdoor life, including riding his Harley, camping each summer at Kennedy Meadows, and off-roading in his Jeep.
In his youth, Myron attended Livingston Unified School until he took over managing the family almond farm to support his family shortly after his father’s untimely death in 1974. In May of 1981, he married his first wife, Patricia A. Sellers. They would go on to have a daughter, Natalie A. Koehn in November of 1982. Tragedy struck in April of 1984 when Patricia passed away from a bout of leukemia. Myron continued to raise his daughter alone until he found love again when he started dating Tammera J. Hicks in 1985. They would eventually marry in July of 1986 and have two children, Lisa M. Rhodes (Koehn) born in 1988, and son Ryan G. Koehn born in 1998. This would complete their family. Myron was a wonderful father, son, husband, brother, grandpa, and friend.
Myron is survived by his mother Norma Koehn, his second wife Tammera Koehn, three children, Natalie Koehn, Lisa Rhodes (Austin Rhodes), and Ryan Koehn (Emily Altemeyer), grandson Elijah E. Rhodes, two siblings, Doreen Schmidt and Shirley Schmidt (Glenn Schmidt), and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, first wife, his brother-in-law and one niece.
Funeral services will be held at Allen Mortuary located at 247 N Broadway, Turlock, California at 10AM on Sat., March 25. Graveside services will follow at Winton Cemetery, 7651 Almond Ave, Winton, California. Reception to follow at Myron and Tammera’s home, 16697 Westside Blvd., Livingston, California.
