Norma Jean Kuderna, age 70, passed away on September 8, 2018. She was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1948, the daughter of Ernest Brighton and Clara Pacella. She grew up in Modesto where she graduated from Grace Davis High School in 1966. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from California State University, Stanislaus and a nursing degree from Modesto Junior College. Norma was a nurse in the Neonatal Infant Care Unit at Doctor’s Medical Center for thirty-three years. During her tenure at Doctor’s Medical Center she was well regarded as a caring, loving person with a gentle spirit and a fierce advocate for giving the best care to the babies she was so honored to care for.
Norma enjoyed playing cello, reading mystery novels and loved films of all genres. Norma was an avid computer gamer and authored several “walkthroughs” for various games. She loved traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. She was previously married to Jerome Kuderna. She leaves behind a daughter, Sonja Kuderna-Winn, a granddaughter, Olivia and a son-in-law, Bryan Winn.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 520 Bellwood Lane in Modesto.
