July 27, 1939 – January 6, 2025

Olene was born in Lodi and moved to Turlock where she graduated from Turlock High School in 1958. In 1959 she married Robert Chesney and together they moved all around the world during his 22 years with the US Navy. In 1979, Olene and Bob settled back in Turlock and she began working for Medic Alert, where she stayed for 21 years.

Olene had a passion for life that allowed her to live it to the fullest. She dearly treasured her time spent with her family and friends and they felt the same about her. Her hobbies included working in the yard, doing water aerobics and she loved to dance the polka.

She is survived by her children Dynelle Gutierrez and Steven Chesney; sibling Shirley Stevens; grandchildren Jimmie, Cody, Ben, Josh and Jasmine; great grandchildren Mia, Selah and Jaxson. Olene was preceded in death by her husband Robert ‘Bob’ Chesney; son James ‘Jim’ Chesney; grandson Josh Chesney; siblings Don Bronson and Betty Cowan; and parents Ben and DeFranca Bronson.

Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Covenant Care Hospice.

Viewing will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 from 5:00-7:00p.m. at Allen Mortuary. Funeral will also be at Allen Mortuary on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 10:00a.m. with interment to follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
