Oralia Geddie (Lala, Sylvia) Flores, 74, passed away on September 13, 2024 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock, CA after a 2-year fight from cancer. She is preceded in death by her longtime partner Donald Warnke and her parents Jose Flores and Emilia Flores.
She is survived by her daughters Angela Reed (Jerry), Cindy Wise, and Melissa Medina (Jeff). Her grandchildren Jeremy (Laura) Reed, Cassandra Rangel, Christopher Medina, Aaron Medina, Luis Medina Jr, Zackary Wise, Marco Medina, Thomas Medina and Alyssa Medina. Her great grandchildren Javanni Medina, Zaiden Medina, Tony Medina, Ava Medina, Max Medina, Sebastian (Bash) Reed, Silas Medina, Anthony Luis Medina. Also survived by her brothers Cruz Flores and Junior Flores, and sisters Rosie Encinas, Carmen Ramirez (Johnny) and Mary Jaime. She truly was blessed with her many nieces and nephews.
Lala was born in Olton, Texas on June 26, 1950. She was a mother, homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She loved gardening and being outdoors. She worked in the fields for most of her life and dearly enjoyed it, her favorite part was working and picking the many fruits and vegetables in our Valley. She also enjoyed thrift stores, yard sales and going to the casinos, especially Las Vegas. Later in life she enjoyed working as a business owner alongside her partner Donald fixing golf carts and socializing with the country club folks. She retired in 2010 and took time to enjoy her yard and made sure it was kept green and manicured as she could.
She will dearly be missed by everyone that ever knew her.
A Memorial Service for Oralia will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 1:00PM, Allen Mortuary, 247 N. Broadway, Turlock, California.
