It is with deep sorrow and much love that the Banzhof family announces the passing of Paul Casper “Bo” Banzhof on February 9, 2024, in Modesto, CA.
Paul was born October 31, 1936, in Carlisle, AR to Frederick Wilhelm and Inis Banzhof. He graduated from Carlisle High School, home of the Bisons, where he was vice president of FFA and star quarterback. After high school he joined the Air Force and was stationed in Roswell, NM where he married Mildred Belle Dallangelo, and then Lauren and Christopher were born. He was transferred to Great Falls, Mt., Cheyenne, WY. and retired from Vandenberg AFB in 1977 after 22 years in the service. The family moved to Turlock, CA where he started working for the Post Office as a supply clerk in Modesto, CA and worked for over 28 years while taking care of the 20-acre farm where they lived. Paul had over 50 years of civil service work. He liked collecting coins, but his true love was gardening, in which he would share his bounty with everyone. He also barbequed for the Stanislaus County Swiss Club for many years and had the title of Marshall.
Paul is survived by his wife Adelia D. Bettencourt of Turlock, CA, his two sisters: Freida Elizabeth Bloomindale of Dade City, FL., and Doris Shiela Roarke of Bossier City, LA, and their families. Paul is also survived by his daughter Lauren Louise Ackerson, son Christopher (Len) Arthur Banzhof from Sacramento, two grandchildren, Abbey Belle Banzhof and Brandon Beau Banzhof, his great grandson Kayson Grant, and many nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held at Allen Mortuary 247 N. Broadway Turlock, CA 95380 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 24, 2024.
There will be a 1:00 pm grave side service at Turlock Memorial Park 575 N. Soderquist Rd. Turlock, CA 95380.
There will be a reception at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds, building E3 following graveside service.
