Paulo Marcelo DeMatos (Paul), 44 years old, was a loving son, good friend and beautiful soul. Paul was born in Modesto, California on June 26th , 1979. Paul lost his life on October 11th , 2023 in Stevinson, California, the town where he was raised.
Paul will be remembered for his charming personality, disarming good looks and his infectious smile, but the manner of his death did not change the events of his life. From a young age Paul was spirited and he threw himself wholeheartedly into new experiences. Paul had an amazing sense of humor and knew how to get people to laugh. Paul worked hard to get his GED later in life. Family was everything to him.
Paul is survived by his parents Jose and Maria DeMatos. Siblings- Armando DeMatos, Carlos DeMatos (spouse Isabel DeMatos), Joe DeMatos (spouse Sabrina DeMatos) and Cecilia Edgmon “Sally” (spouse Alfred Edgmon). Nephews- Aaron, Adam, Justin, Matthew, Devin, Elijah, Gavin and Josiah. Nieces- Caitlyn, Christie, Claire, Makayla, Destiny and Aubrie. Daughter- Cecily. Sons-Joseph and Jacob. Wife- Katherine.
Paul’s Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 3rd , 2023 at 1pm with Father Larry Machado officiating at Allen Mortuary, 247 N. Broadway Turlock, CA.
Immediately after, Paul will be laid to rest at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock, CA.
