Phyllis was born in Horatio, Arkansas to Sam and Lois Brewer and passed away at the age of 78 in her home surrounded by her family. In 1953, her mother met her father Charles Bethel and they settled in Turlock in 1957. Phyllis attended Turlock High School and graduated in 1961. During her high school years, 1959, she met the love of her life Chet (Chester) Segars, they were married for 53 years and had three children.
Phyllis was a member of Church of Christ in Turlock. In her earlier days, she had a love for tennis, enjoyed socializing, playing bunco with her friends and spending time with her family. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Phyllis is survived by her brother Gary (Brenda) Bethel of Fresno; children Brent Segars, Vickie Segars and Brad Segars all of Turlock; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents Sam Brewer, Charles and Lois Bethel and her husband Chet (Chester) Segars.
Graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 11:00a.m. at Turlock Memorial Park.

I always looked forward to getting together with Phyllis when I would come back to Turlock for a class reunion. She believed in & was a follower of Jesus, so I know that brings you much solace & peace knowing she is with Jesus & walking in sunshine ð !. I will miss my dear friend!!
