October 1993 ~ September 2021
Po’okela was a free spirit, always laughing, rapping singing and dancing. He had such a big heart and his family was everything to him. He was friends with everyone he met; he was always able to bring a smile to their faces. During his life, he made an impact on so many people and touched so many lives. The most important people to him were his sons; all he wanted to do was to care for them and give them everything they deserved.
Po’okela’s family remembers him as a respectful man who was protective of his family and always “had their backs”. He was also very spiritual and had a close relationship with and knew God as his savior.
He is survived by his children Nakoa, Nazario and Kainoa; parents Vernon and Tala Kekua; siblings Nalani, Noelani, Pono, Pomaika’i and Poakamakanaaloha, Nalena, Pohaku; brother in law Piko Kekua-Ma’ae and sister in law Duchess Kekua; grandparents; nieces and nephews Ezekiel, Eliana, Emelina, Erieanna, Ecko and Elixane; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Viewing will be at Allen Mortuary on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 4:00-7:00p.m. Funeral service will also be at Allen Mortuary on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 10:00a.m. with interment to follow at Ceres Memorial Park.

I’m heart broken an sad that my good friend my brother in Christ is no longer with us. I’m lost for words. My thoughts and prayers goes out to his family specially to his kids. Grown up without a father is hard. But he’ll be watching over all of them, over all of us. Love you Po’okela until we meet again in that mansion in the sky. Rest In Love my brother
