August 10, 1956 – September 12, 2023

Rebeca entered into rest peacefully on September 12th,2023. She came to the U.S. at the age of 19 and used her love of cooking at her mothers catering business “mama Celia’s”. Rebeca loved being a homemaker, mother, grandmother and recently a great grandmother. She was always very outgoing and caring with friends and family. Her favorite place was near the ocean where she had many fond memories with her siblings in her childhood, growing up in Acapulco. Her joy extended through music, tradition, culture and people no matter who they were and where they came from. God’s glory radiated through her love and her heart of giving to others. Rebeca loved Jesus.

She is survived by her children Neil (Kara) Bennett and Kelsey (Adam) Rasmussen; brother Ramiro Salgado;

grandchildren Celia, Nadia and Sofia Rasmussen, Everett Bennett and Luis Cortez; and her pride and joy, great granddaughter Ariella Stanfill.

Rebeca was preceded in death by her parents Jose

Poulino Gomez Gonzales and Celia Salgado and her siblings Lupe Jau and Carlos Gomez.
