Refugio was born in Labor de Santa Barbara, Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico on July 4, 1943. He came to live in the USA in 1961. He worked for Simon Newman for 13 years. He was with Stevinson Corporation for the next 44 years until his retirement at the age of 75.
Refugio is survived by his wife Theresa Gonzalez, his children Larry Gonzalez, Belinda Moon and Mark Gonzalez, his siblings Andrew Gonzalez and Manuel Gonzalez, 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son Victor Gonzalez and his parents Andres and Augustina Gonzalez.
Services are private under the direction of Allen Mortuary.
