On Monday, February 13, 2023, Richard (Dick) Conant Stevens passed away at the age of 84 in the town of Turlock, CA. He began life in the adjacent town of Hilmar, CA and liked to say that he had completed full circle upon moving to Covenant Living in Turlock on September 29, 2023.
He was an avid golfer and skier, a collector of premium wines, loved cooking and enjoyed preparing gourmet dinners for family and special events. Plus, he liked listening to light jazz music and became an avid reader in his later years.
Higher education included taking course work at Modesto Junior College, University of Hawaii, and College of Pacific. He had approximately 25 years in mortgage banking before retiring. Dick enjoyed traveling: Road trips, cruising, and spending time on his favorite Island, the Garden Island of Kauai. He was a supporter of the performing theater art groups in Sonora, CA and Modesto, CA.
Dick is survived by his wife Patty Gene Stevens, his son Erik and daughter-in-law Phyllis, his grandson James and granddaughter Samantha. Dick also formed a strong relationship with his wife Patty’s three children and is survived by her daughters Teryl and Michelle and son Aaron.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
