Richard Collins passed away on June 19, 2021 at the age of 72 at St. Joseph Medical Center. Rich was born in Oakland and grew up in Hayward. After he graduated from Tennyson High school in 1966, he enlisted in the United States Navy. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, he lived in Pennsylvania where he married Cheryl Davis. They moved to Modesto in 1989, and he was employed with Sea-Land Services in Oakland as a Diesel Shop Foreman for 35 years. Rich enjoyed Harleys, hot rods, drag boats, and traveling in his motorhome to Sturgis.
He is survived by his son Rich Collins III and brother Loren (Kathy) Collins. He is preceded in death by his wife Cheryl and daughter Joella Davis Collins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021, 10am at Allen Mortuary. Inurnment service will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021, 10am at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Modesto.
