Richard was born in San Jose, CA to Joe Valenzuela and Ruth Rosas and passed away at the age of 66 with his wife by his side. He will be remembered as a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, great Grandfather, Brother, and Uncle. Richard enjoyed camping, fishing and being outdoors. He loved watching/playing with his grandchildren and being with his family.
Richard was a grill master and embraced the “work hard, play hard” motto in his life. He always worked hard for his family and that started at a very early age. Richard had worked at Campbell’s Soup and Country Ford, although his favorite job was when he worked at United Rentals.
He leaves behind his wife Barbara Valenzuela; children Theodore (Corina) Alva, Monique (Gabriel) Valenzuela, Naomi (Christopher) Kahklen and Richard (Abigail) Valenzuela; three sisters Margie Ramirez, Teresa Robelo and Luwanna Rosas; two brothers Joe Valenzuela and Benjamin Valenzuela; grandchildren Alexis “Titi”, Devyna “Oinky”, Gabriel “Choppers” Jr., Aaliyah, Martego “Hotdog Champ”, Kina, Sara, Christopher “My boy”, Richard, and Jozie; great grandchildren Lena, Amina and Isael “Quack Quack”. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers David Valenzuela and Gilbert Valenzuela.
Funeral service will be held at Allen Mortuary on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 4:00p.m.
