ROBERT “ALVIN” DIXON December 12, 1941 - September 8, 2021

December 12, 1941 – September 8, 2021

Robert “Alvin” Dixon passed away September 8, 2021. He was 79 years old.  

Alvin lived in Modesto where he met the love of his life (love at first sight), Alma Jean Glover. She was 13 and he was 15. They married in 1959 and had 5 children. They eventually moved to Turlock, California.  Alvin worked as a maintenance supervisor for FMC chemical company until they closed; from there he ended up at Diamond Walnut in Stockton until he retired.  

Alvin loved his little Ranchette in Turlock where he gave his children a chance to experience the country side of living. He grew the best walnuts and gave them out as Christmas gifts to his family every year, already husked, cleaned, and shelled.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, sisters, two great grand babies, and in October 2020, he lost the Love of his Life of 61 years, Alma Jean.

He leaves behind his 5 children, Debra Dixon, Tammy Dixon, Darlene Walker, Robert A. Dixon Jr., and June McNeil; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  

Our Dad was the best Husband, Father (daddy), Grandpa, Great Grandpa, and Uncle. He will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held from 4pm to 7pm on Wednesday Sept. 22 at Allen Mortuary. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Thursday, Sept. 23, at Ceres Memorial Park.
