Ronald C. Tucker

January 5, 1940 ~ October 27, 2024

Ron Tucker of Denair, CA has passed away at the age of 84, peacefully at home, with his family by his side.

Ronald was born in Vernon, Texas to Charles and Helen Tucker. He was welcomed into the world by his sibling Kay Tucker and followed by Kenny Tucker. In 1964, he married Betty Dunn and together, for 59 years, they raised their children and grandchildren.

Ron was an electrician for 45+ years and retired while working for Foster Farms in 2007. He and Betty raised 3 children together and later adopted their granddaughter. Ron joined the Marine Corp when he was 17 and served for 4 years.

Ron was a strong, hard-working, loving man who strived to provide the best life for his family. He loved his roles as husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved watching Westerns, Law & Order, and college football while supporting his favorite teams UCLA and USC, listening to music while dancing and singing, taking care of his yard, going on long daily walks and talking to neighbors along the way, playing Gin Rummy on his computer, caring for his soul-dog Mia, reading novels by John Grisham, being surrounded by family and friends, and telling stories about his life such as memories of him and Betty going dancing, his time in the military, and the crazy things that he and his best friend/brother-in-law Richard Dunn did.

Ron is survived by his children Serena Kochhar, Carley Maurer, Sherri Mercado, and Robert Tucker along with his 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral will be held at Allen Mortuary on Saturday, November 9th starting at 4:00pm. A visitation will precede the funeral, open from 3-4pm and a Reception will immediately follow at the Denair Senior Center.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to “The Community Hospice and Health Services Foundation”, 4368 Spyres Way Modesto, CA 95356, 209-578-6300.
