January 31, 2021 at 6:15 pmWe didn’t know about your service till today (a day late, etc.), so Bob (fiddle player) could’t play you a tune like he did for Carole. Bob and I spent many happy hours at “The Church of Elness” getting to know you, Carole, and Michael. Ron, thank you for letting us be a part of your family. Thank you for sharing stories of your life and photos of your family. I loved the fact that your family, of mine, yours, and ours, all belonged to both you and Carole. I know how much you loved your family, especially your son Michael, your brother in Oregon, and your great grandbaby girl Ronni Jo, named for you! We will meet in the “big donut shop” in heaven. I had the privilege of living on the same block as the Rices and went to High School with Ron. I only had typing class with him but he ruined all my speed tests. On cue he: Did the cartoon character of a demented buzzard singing “I am bringing home a baby bumble bee” while slowly plunking one key at a time. Distracting to say the least.
Ron was popular in school. To imagine him watch Kinickie sing “Greased Lightning” in the movie “Grease.” Ron’s car had “Rice A Roni, The San Francisco Treat” painted on the side of
I terrified him once when he tried to teach me to drive in the Cemetery at night, heading streight into a monument! (I was only 13). He figured if we died there we wouldn’t have to travel far.
I think I laughed the hardest when he came to school with baby blue shirt (that matched his eyes); White cordory pegger pants, white cardigan and white suede shoes! I told him Sees Candies was hiring for Christmas so we went immediately after school for night shift that was starting right at 4 O’Clock. They put him to work immediately where he was to break up 100 lb Giradelli bars with a pick axe and throw the chunks in a big melting pot. Stirring and pouring when melted.. When he came to drive me home, he not only smelled of chocolate but looked like he had fallen in, white suade shoes and all.
The best thing he ever did though was to come walking down the street with his big brother one day who I married 62 years ago. When I get to heaven I will just listen for the angels laughing and there I will find Ron right in the middle.

January 30, 2021 at 1:28 amWe are here to give tribute to my brother Ron. We all have memories of him but I want to focus in on one truth. No matter the situation Ron was always there.
I was five and a half years older and he was the pesky little brother but yes, he was always there.Even when I didnt pay him any attention, there he was!
When in our teens and I ignored him, he was there.
When our Mom and Dad passed away, he was there. And with our sister and brothers passing, he was there.
We started growing closer thru that time. I knew we were there for each other.
We spent time together on the phone over the years and when we could, face to face.
Our bond together was such that the bond spread to his family and mine.
Could it be that it was the Lord all the time bonding us together? I thank the Lord for that. Ron will always be my brother and also brother in the Lord thru eternity.

January 30, 2021 at 1:25 amMy Dearest Ron,
You are and always will be my FAVORITE Uncle.
You filled my heart with such love, joy and laughter.
I loved just sitting with you and hearing your crazy tales and stories of my dad, your brother and all the mischief he did and as you were telling me my dad called you a big mouth tattletale.
I loved the sibling rivalry between the two of you. You made my daddy laugh and laugh.
I thank the Lord that he allowed me to visit with you for a couple of hours November 2nd, 2019 and when I had to leave you cried and I cried and had to get back out of the car for another long hug.
We both had a love for football, you the raiders and me the 9’ers. You told me the next time I came to SF that we have to go the Giant’s museum. I promise Uncle Ron, we will!
The last thing we talked about was the last time you saw Kerry and after several years Kerry finally came home to you. Now the two of you are having a grand reunion. In time we will gather and have the largest family reunion.
Thank you for your love, YOU are a legend in my own mind.
You sure are missed and truly loved.
You will always be in my heart,
I love you Uncle,
Jenny
