Rudy was born in LeFlore, Oklahoma to Ernest and Dovie Welch and passed away at the age of 93. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Rudy married Carroll in 1948 and together they shared 71 years of marriage. He enjoyed fishing, playing guitar and being with family and will be remembered for his infectious smile, hearty handshake and making the best chicken wings. Rudy attended Richland Faith Assembly of God Church in Modesto. He had an appreciation for life and was devoted to his wife Carroll; she was the love of his life.
He is survived by his wife Carroll Welch; son Greg (Kim) Welch; siblings Hank Welch and Bea Ballesteros; grandchildren Jami Welch, Cortney (Richie) Hartsfield, Jessica Rice, Bill Amerson and Tiffany Amerson; and seven great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held at Allen Mortuary on Thursday, June 18, 2020 from 3:00-7:00p.m. Graveside service will be at Ceres Memorial Park on Friday, June 19, 2020 at 10:00a.m.
