February 1972 – September 2021
Rudy Armando Robles, AKA “Ruddog”, was born on February 29, 1972 in East LA. He was born to Ramona Garcia Corral, who was both mother and father to Rudy. He had three siblings, Ramon Britton, Alejandro Garcia and Gabriel Garcia. Rudy was a father of three. He had three girls–Melissa, Lynette and Yesenia. He was also a grandfather of three boys, with another on the way. His grandsons are Christian (14), Jayden (2), Junior (1) and Rudy (on the way).
As a teenager, Rudy loved boxing. He trained at the same gym that Oscar de la Hoya trained at in Los Angeles. He also won a contest for his name to be used in Cheech Marin’s movie “Born in East LA”. He and his brother Alex also appeared in a Cheech and Chong movie as background extras. He loved to work on cars and he loved to watch football, more so when “his 49ers” were playing. He loved nature and animals, especially his dog, Snow White.
He was a loving father and an amazing grandfather. He loved “his girls” and “his boys” with all his heart, but his grandsons were the light of his life. He was always so proud of his daughters and grandsons. Rudy was a very social person. He made friends everywhere he went. He loved music, classic cars and loved to socialize. The neighborhood loved him and called him the Gatekeeper, since he was always sitting under the pine tree, keeping an eye out for the neighborhood. Just like his mother, Rudy was someone you could go to if you needed help. He was very kindhearted and humble.
Rudy will truly be missed, but he will live on in the memories of everyone he knew and loved. He is now in heaven alongside his mother, watching over his daughters and grandsons.
