July 2020 – Nov. 1945
Rufina Castellanos passed away on July 1, 2020 at the age of 74. She was born in Texas to Placido and Bernada Lopez. She and her family moved to California in the 1970’s, settling in the Bay Area and later Modesto. Rufina was an amazing woman who will be remembered for always putting others before herself and her laughter. She spent her life caring for her family and others. She was a caregiver to the elderly and the disabled for many years before retiring. She loved cooking for her family and taking care of her flowers, especially the roses.
She is preceded in death by her husband Eduardo Castellanos Sr. and her sister Ludivina Moreno. She is survived by her sons Mario Perez, Luis Perez, Jose Perez, Miguel Perez, and Eduardo Castellanos Jr., and her sister Guadalupe Velasquez. Rufina had eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Rufina’s life will be held at a later date.

July 9, 2020 at 6:46 pmMy Tia Rufi❤️ I have so many good memories of her. She was always smiling. I spent a lot of time with Tia as a young girl since I was the only niece in the family and she herself had 4 boys ☺️ She had a beautiful laugh and her eyes would twinkle when she smiled. I learned a lot from her -cooking, baking and letting some things slide. I know she is basking in God’s glory with the love of her life and all those who were waiting for her at heavens gates . We will miss you, Tia but thank God everyday for the time we spent in your presence❤️
