August 1942 ~ July 2022
Russell Clark Van Hook of Turlock has passed away in his home at the age of 79. Russell was born to Elbert and Doris Van Hook in Turlock, California. Growing up, he always loved heavy equipment, and loved driving his tractor. He worked for TID for over 15 years. He enjoyed going up to La Grange, trips to the ocean, and doing his yardwork. Most of all, he loved his family, his wife of 53 years Sylvia, his 3 daughters, his very special grandkids, and his dogs Bentley and Belle.
Russell is survived by his wife Sylvia (Borrelli) Van Hook, his daughters Jene Moore, Erin Van Hook, and Doreen Gier (Roy), his siblings Dale Van Hook of Oregon, Norma Knapp (Leroy) of Turlock, and Kathy Wyatt of Idaho, his grandkids Blade, Zachery (deceased) Moore, Dayton Volk, Ashley, Alyssa, and Kyle Gier, and Austin Van Hook, and great-grandson Lane Souza.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Allen Mortuary, beginning at 12:00pm. A reception will follow at the Carnegie Arts Center.
In lieu of flowers, please provide memorial contributions to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
