Born October 14, 1926 – Carried into the arms of Jesus April 7, 2023
Shamiran was born on October 14, 1926 in Iraq to Sondo and Saba Bidkaram. Shortly thereafter, her family moved to Iran, where Shamiran resided until 1959 when she moved to the United States.
Shamiran married soon after to her husband William (Bill) and together they started their family on the farm that they owned in Turlock, California. Shamiran diligently cared for her husband and 3 daughters, as well as the countless hours spent caring for her home and her farming duties.
She excelled at needlepoint, crocheting, knitting, sewing, cooking, and gardening.
Even though these things brought her joy, she loved the Lord even more, whom she accepted as her Savior in her 30’s. Her life was dedicated to serving God, and everyone else around her. She was selfless, kind, and generous with everything that she had. No one would ever leave her home hungry or without having a cup of Assyrian tea. Her sweet and humble spirit touched all of those whom she came into contact with, and she will be missed beyond words.
Shamiran is preceded in death by her husband William Marshall, and daughters Sharleen Marshall and Shirley Marshall. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Templeman (Greg), granddaughter Alysia Templeman, grandson Ethan Templeman, brother Sam (Rose) Bidkaram, sister-in-law Marleen Bidkaram, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be on April 22, 2023 at 11:00 am at Turlock Memorial Park.
