Sharon Lynn Lee of Turlock California peacefully left this world to be with our Lord on January 9th, 2023.
Sharon was born November 1st, 1945, in Alhambra, California. She was the third of four children born to John and Mary Field. Sharon graduated from Stanislaus State with a degree in business as well as earning a teaching credential in elementary education. She ran her own daycare business for 5 years. She also became the supervisor of the Head Start program in Delhi before her retirement in 2005. She was married to Daniel Lee on January 27, 1968. Sharon and Daniel lived in Fresno, Turlock, Hilmar, Delhi and Kamiah, Idaho.
Sharon was a passionate educator of children. She worked in the education field for 23 years. Sharon loved gospel music. She sang in her church choir at the Presbyterian Church in Turlock as well as Kooskia, Idaho. In retirement, Sharon and Dan traveled in their RV. They traveled to most of the western United States seeing many wonders along the way. One of her great enjoyments was being at a campground while reading a good book. She was an avid reader having read thousands of books in her lifetime. Sharon was passionate about her family genealogy. She spent numerous hours studying and investigating her family tree. She mapped her family tree back hundreds of years. Sharon enjoyed the game of baseball. It brought her great joy and pride being able to watch her grandsons play at the college level. She rarely missed a game from her beloved Los Angeles Dodgers. What Sharon cherished most was family. She loved family gatherings always ensuring to give each family member a huge hug upon arrival.
Sharon is survived by her devoted husband, Daniel, her siblings Mary, Kathleen and John, her children Christine, Tom and Jeff as well as her grandchildren Joe, Daniel and Jonathan.
We will miss her forever.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on February 6th at Allen Mortuary. 247 N. Broadway, Turlock, CA. Reception immediately following at LightHouse Family Church, 323 W. Canal Dr, Turlock, CA.
