Shirley Ann Rowell
Jan. 1954 – Sept. 2018
Shirley Ann Rowell, a genuine, beautiful woman and loving wife and mother, passed away suddenly this week. Shirley was born in West Covina, California in the winter of 1954 to John and Elfriede Blevins.
A love story taking many years to come to pass was when Shirley and Chuck Rowell, high school sweethearts, found each other again on Facebook. Chuck drove to Oklahoma where Shirley had lived for 47 years, picked her up and brought her back to Denair where they married.
Shirley had a heart of gold and brought joy to her family and friends. She was and is cherished by all who knew her. Shirley’s death has been heart wrenching for Chuck and their family and she will be deeply, deeply missed.
Shirley leaves behind her loving husband Chuck; children Michael Watkins, Scott Watkins, Julie (Jim) LoForti and Jeremy (Natalie) Rowell; grandchildren Zane Watkins, Bradon Rowell, Austin Bird, Kayla Castro, Alyssa Thompson and Payton Rowell; great grandchildren Claira Souza, Everett Castro and Noah Thompson; siblings Bobby Blevins and Lisa Nation. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and brother Tony Blevins.
There will be no services. Please share your sweet memories of Shirley on this website.

October 5, 2018 at 6:28 pmI worked with Shirley and considered her one of the most generous and giving people I have ever met.She brought me little cute things and even bought me a beautiful cross because she thought of me. I will miss her, her kind words, her wonderful sense of humor and beautiful smile.I am glad that she got to spend happy moments with her lost love Chuck and know that she was extremely happy. I will think of her and smile and then shed a tear or two for someone fantastic I will never get to see again.I pray that her Family finds comfort knowing prayers are beings sent for them to feel some peace. May you rest in peace Beautiful Friend

October 5, 2018 at 8:33 amMy Deepest Condolences to all the Family!! I worked with Shirley at Works & Lentz, when I met her she automatically became a sweet friend to me. Shirley is the reason why I have a cell phone today, I was driving over 100 miles round-trip,and she stayed on me to get one, because I was a lady on the road. I was just talking about her today to a couple of my Avon Sister’s.. My heart is hurting at this time!! I will forever be grateful to have met Shirley, Love this Sweet Lady!! May she RIP!! Prayers to all of the Family!!!

October 5, 2018 at 3:40 amMy beautiful and sweet sister with a heart of gold. She was always buying some little something for everyone and say ..here this is for you…I thought about you when I seen it. She’s given her last bit of money to homeless people because she said they were worse off than she was. She was in a dark dark place until Chuck searched for her and rescued her and took her back to California. I have never seen her so happy. He put a smile on her face that I had not seen in years. I love you sis and I miss you. R.I.P.

October 4, 2018 at 6:45 pmI worked with Shirley several years ago. She was not somebody you just forgot about. I loved her dearly! My fondest memory of Shirley was when I was rattling at lunch one day and she rubbed behind my ear looking for my off switch! Lol! My condolences are with her family and friends at this time. I will dearly miss this amazing woman!
